SASKATOON, Feb.12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) has delivered a new model for service desk, end-user computing and desk side support services for Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), a leading retail cooperative in Western Canada, as the company expands its operations.

FCL provides central wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative services to more than 210 retail co-ops located across Western Canada. As it continues to grow, the company is investing significantly in IT modernization, including a new infrastructure and applications, and turned to CGI for a proven model for supporting end-user services.

With this new model, FCL will be able to improve user satisfaction through more effective first-call incident resolution, standardize desktops and laptops, and focus more on strategic initiatives as CGI manages day-to-day support activities.
