ChandlerMay Executive Elected President of Washington DC Chapter of AUVSI
WASHINGTON, April 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Chandler/May, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Jay McConville has been elected President of the Washington, DC chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) by the chapter membership. The "AUVSI DC Capitol Chapter" serves AUVSI members who live or work in the Washington DC Metro area.
According to its vision statement, the organization is dedicated to providing "credible advocacy and support for the potential that unmanned systems can provide for the military and commercial sector as well as our nation." The election was conducted in February, and Mr. McConville will serve a two-year term. Information about the chapter is available at http://www.auvsidccapitol.net.

Mr. McConville has served on the Chapter's Executive Committee for three years as the Public Relations Chair. He is the Executive Vice President for Strategy and New Business at ChandlerMay, and the Chairman of the Board for AME Unmanned Air Systems, a ChandlerMay company.
Prior to his time with ChandlerMay, he was a Vice President for a major defense firm responsible for more than $300 million a year in surveillance and reconnaissance business. Mr. McConville is a United States Army veteran and holds a Bachelor of Science from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence College, Washington, DC.
