Change War Results in More than $12,000 Donation to Project Pink'd
OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fusion, a healthcare staffing company in Omaha, held a change war last week that resulted in friendly competition and a $12,100 donation to Project Pink'd.
The company has historically supported Project Pink'd throughout the year and with an added emphasis on support in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In past years, the company invited employees to donate a flat rate to attend a fundraising event. The internal committee that plans the event thought a friendly competition would be more fun this year.
A week of free-will donation breakfasts were hosted in the breakrooms of the building and employees took the "war" part of the fundraiser seriously while enjoying their English muffin sandwiches. Strategies were developed on the best way to keep each floor's jar on the positive side, and the winning floor will celebrate in the next few weeks with a lunch and happy hour.
"We made breakfasts as a small nudge to remind them about the fundraiser and tell them about the amazing work Project Pink'd does while they ate," said Community Engagement Manager Morgan Halpine. "Everyone at Fusion is so eager to support causes that mean something to them, and I was blown away by how much everyone got into this fundraiser. Fusion folks really just show up when they are needed."
Project Pink'd provides tools, resources and a strong network to strengthen and renew the mind, body and spirit of breast cancer survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa. Fusion has been a dedicated partner to the organization for several years.
