Chapters Health System Picks Andrew Molosky, MBA, CHPCA as Its New President/CEO

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Chapters Health System and its affiliates (Good Shepherd Hospice, HPH Hospice and LifePath Hospice) announced today that Andrew Molosky, MBA, CHPCA, will start officially as the new President and Chief Executive Officer on Monday, December 11, 2017. Molosky, who is succeeding the retiring Kathy L. Fernandez, BSN, MHA, will report directly to the Chapters Health Board of Directors. In 2016, Chapters Health affiliates served almost 17,000 patients and families across eight counties—Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Highlands, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk.

Molosky has served in senior leadership positions in the post-acute areas of hospice, home care and community-based services for the last 16 years. He currently is the President and Chief Operations Officer of UnityPoint at Home, which is the ambulatory enterprise of UnityPoint Health, the nation's 11th largest, not-for-profit integrated health system. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, UnityPoint Health serves markets in Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin. In his role at UnityPoint at Home, Molosky leads the executive team responsible for hospice, palliative care, home health, home medical equipment, specialty pharmacy and pediatric in-home services.

Prior to joining UnityPoint, Molosky held regional leadership positions with Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, Amedisys Hospice and Palliative Care, and Odyssey Healthcare. The first seven years of his career were with Heartland Hospice and Home Health covering the Ohio markets as Regional Director of Operations.

Molosky completed his undergraduate degree cum laude at the University of Toledo, with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Exercise Science and Cardiac Rehabilitation. He received his Master of Business Administration from the Ken Blanchard College of Business at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. He holds certifications from the Duke University Palliative Care Partnership and the Hospice Education Network. Molosky is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator and is pursuing his Fellowship from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Fernandez recently announced her decision to retire effective January 4, 2018, after more than two decades working with Chapters Health and its affiliates. Fernandez is looking forward to spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, and enjoying the next chapter in her life, knowing that Chapters Health System and its affiliates will continue to be a leader in providing choices, education and guidance for those affected by advancing age or advancing illness.
