Charles Osaki Named President Of CalCPA Education Foundation
PASADENA, Calif., June 24, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Charles Osaki, CPA, has been elected president of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA.org) Education Foundation for 2016-17 at the annual meeting of the CalCPA Council at the Langham Huntington Hotel. Osaki previously served as first vice president.
In accepting his new position, Osaki said that the courses offered by the Education Foundation can help young accounting and financial professionals succeed in their chosen career paths. He noted that the Foundation is embracing technological advancements, including use of analytics and cloud computer services, to expand content delivery more efficiently and effectively.
"We will try creative business models and come up with innovative products and services to effectively serve our customers," Osaki said. "We are laying the groundwork to continue our success in an extremely competitive environment."
Osaki is a principal in human relations for Squar Miller LLP, Newport Beach, California. He is a former chair and continuing member of the CalCPA's Accounting Education & Careers Committee and a member of the advisory committee for the master of science in taxation program at California State University, Northridge.
Osaki holds a bachelor's degree in business economics (accounting emphasis) from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
