Charlie Neuhaus joins Avison Young's brokerage operations in Houston

Texas market leader joins Avison Young as Principal

HOUSTON, TX, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Rand Stephens, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Houston office, announced today that commercial real estate broker Charlie Neuhaus has joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Houston.

Effective immediately, Neuhaus joins Avison Young as a Principal and will focus his efforts on tenant representation and corporate services. He will partner with high-profile industry veteran Harry Holmes, who also joined Avison Young as a Principal earlier this month. Neuhaus was previously Market Leader, Texas with Johnson Development Associates (JDA) in Houston.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Neuhaus started the Houston office of JDA. During his four years with the company, he was involved in development, management, leasing and disposition activities for JDA assets, and pursued acquisition and development opportunities in Houston and the Western U.S.

Before that, Neuhaus was Senior Associate, Corporate Advisory Services with Trammell Crow/CB Richard Ellis Real Estate Company where he had a successful career as a tenant rep professional. Clients included VMware, TYCO, Intel, Dashiell Corp. and YUM! Brands.

Neuhaus was also previously a market representative for ProLogis, actively marketing 9.5 million square feet of industrial warehouse space; a marketing associate with Insite Commercial Real Estate, generating business for the tenant representation group; and a home and small business sales consultant for Dell Computer Corp., where he achieved top 5% in sales in his last year.

Neuhas is a board member for Bo's Place bereavement centre; a Vestry member at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church; and an advisory board member of the Neuhaus Education Center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in business from the University of Texas at Austin.
