CheapCaribbean.com CEO Josh Paine Announced Winner of 40 Under 40 Award by Philadelphia Business Journal

DOYLESTOWN, Pa., May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Josh Paine, president and CEO of Doylestown-based CheapCaribbean.com, the number one U.S. website dedicated to Caribbean and Mexico travel, was recently selected as a recipient of the "40 Under 40" award for 2011 by the Philadelphia Business Journal, which for 21 years has recognized 40 professionals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated a record of professional achievement and civic engagement.

Selected out of more than 300 nominees, Paine was chosen for his dynamic leadership and success at CheapCaribbean.com, dedication and impact on the local community and contribution to the Philadelphia area's economic progress.

Paine joined CheapCaribbean.com in August 2007 as chief financial officer after a five-year tenure with JetPay Merchant Services, a Texas-based credit card processing company where he served as vice president of operations.  Quickly after joining CheapCaribbean.com, Paine led efforts that sustained the company's growth rate and advanced its infrastructure and was appointed chief executive officer by the board of directors in late 2008.  

Through Paine's leadership, the company has seen significant growth with an increase in revenue by 185 percent, profitability by 640 percent and its employee base by nearly 100 percent.  

Dedicated to serving others, Paine formalized the CheapCaribbean.com Cares program, which supports various organizations and nonprofits near the company's headquarters in Doylestown and within the beach communities the company serves.  He also began a "Day of Service" in 2010, which gives employees one free day to serve a local charity. To date, the company has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars and has aided more than a dozen organizations.

Paine graduated Suma Cum Laude from Texas A&M University, with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in finance. He is involved with the World Relief program, Compassion International and is very active within his church.

Paine and the 2011 Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 winners will be recognized at a reception Tuesday, May 24.
