Chicago-area Ashley Furniture HomeStores Show Their Sweeter Side with Support for 'Candy Days'

ARCADIA, Wis., March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago-area Ashley Furniture HomeStores (http://www.ashleyfurniturehomestore.com)  are teaming up with Misericordia Heart of Mercy  Home, a local non-profit organization, to show their support for Candy Days, an annual event that aims to raise much-needed funds for individuals with developmental disabilities.

On April 29th and 30th, thousands of volunteers clad in tell-tale Jelly Belly® aprons will hit the streets of Chicago and its suburbs, passing out candy and informational tags in exchange for donations to Misericordia, which supports over 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities from all racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds.

Starting Monday, April 25^th, any groups or individuals wishing to volunteer their time for this very important cause will find donation canisters and aprons at Ashley Furniture HomeStores throughout the Chicagoland area. Ashley will also be garnering support and providing additional information for the event via its Twitter (twitter.com/AshleyHomeStore) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/AshleyFurnitureHomeStore) pages.
