Chicago Cause to Donate $50,000 in Marketing Services to Local Charities
CHICAGO, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Chicago-area nonprofits are encouraged to apply to Chicago Cause, a collaboration between five Chicago-based businesses. Collectively, the companies are donating $50,000 worth of web design; video production; SEO; digital strategy and social media training and public relations consulting.
Chicago Cause was launched in 2010 as a philanthropic partnership between Orbit Media, Lightspan Digital, and Flanigan Communications; Digital Third Coast and ShiftFocus Productions joined in 2012. Now in its fifth year, the organization has donated more than $175,000 in marketing services to local Chicago nonprofits.
Through this initiative, Chicago Cause strives to strengthen and serve area nonprofits, helping them to build awareness, increase support and fundraising efforts through sophisticated websites; strategic marketing and digital communications.
Chicago Cause will divide the combined $50,000 in services between first, second, and third place winners. Specifically, winners will receive one or more of the following:
- A website (design plus development) valued at $20,000 provided by Orbit Media Studios
- Digital marketing plan and social media training $7,500 provided by Lightspan Digital
- Public relations consulting valued at $5,000 provided by Flanigan Communications, Inc.
- SEO content and strategy services valued at $7,500 provided by Digital Third Coast
- Video production valued at $10,000 provided by ShiftFocus Productions
Past winners include Leave No Veteran Behind; Sacred Transformations; BUILD Inc; Fresh Moves; Snow City Arts; Inspiration Corporation; and the Center for Disability and Elder Law.
Chicago-based nonprofit (501 c3) organizations are eligible and online applications can be filled out at www.orbitmedia.com/cause. Deadline to apply is October 3, 2014 and winners will be announced on October 31. Winners will be chosen by a selection committee who will base their decisions on defined criteria, including demonstrated financial need and depth of positive community impact.
