CHICAGO, April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Carrie E. Cope, a shareholder and head of the Insurance Regulatory and Specialty Lines Claim and Coverage Consulting practice areas at Schuyler, Roche & Crisham, P.C., and a respected authority on insurance and regulatory law, today launched in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin her monthly column entitled Coping Skills. Ms. Cope was invited to create the column to share her observations on career challenges and dynamics in law firm life and the working world in general.
A member of the LexisNexis Insurance Law Center Advisory Board and author of several chapters on insurance law in Appleman's publications, Ms. Cope debuted her column this month with an article entitled, "The Lawyer's Path to Success: Using a Career GPS."
"It is my hope that readers will find my column enjoyable and perhaps even thought-provoking at any stage in their legal careers," said Cope. The column is slated to run the second Wednesday of the month.
Most notable among Cope's many published works are her Regulation of Policy Forms in the New Appleman on Insurance Law (LexisNexis 2009) and a book she co-authored in 2008, entitled Directors' and Officers' Liability: Exposures, Risk Management and Insurance Coverage. Published by National Underwriter, the book focuses on the D&O needs of public, private and not-for-profit corporations, the nature of the exposure, common D&O claims, risk management and insurance coverage.
