Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association Announces 2017 Officers and Board
CHICAGO, Dec. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- John Kemp of Wolverine Partners has been named president of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA Chicago/Midwest) for 2017. Nick Miller, of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, was named president-elect.
Kemp is managing partner of Wolverine Partners, and has over three decades of experience as an operating and finance executive, including providing financial advisory and investment banking services for both for debtors and creditors. He has worked with both healthy and distressed middle market and large companies across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, the automotive aftermarket, healthcare, retail (including e-commerce), consumer, industrial, business and financial services.
Continuing in their roles as officers are Ben Smith, Huron Consulting Group, treasurer and Candice Kline, Sidley Austin LLP, secretary and Mike Egan, Monroe Capital LLC, immediate past president.
New officers elected to serve one year terms were Angela Allen, Jenner & Block LLP, vice president, communications; Lou Marosi, Linkage Capital Management LLC, vice president, education and Rob Meyers, Republic Business Credit LLC, vice president, programs.
Kline, Dave Mack, Pathfinder Group LLC and Kat Parker, HYPERAMS LLC were elected as new directors for three year terms. Continuing directors are Allen, Marosi, Smith and Melissa Dimitri, Grant Thornton LLP, Michael Brandess, Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Hammer LLP and Alex Boerema, AlixPartners.
