'Children's Party' Presidential Candidate Schedules Press Conference
NEW YORK, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A Press Conference is scheduled for 5:30 PM, Tuesday, September 11th at The National Press Club, Washington, D.C. At this time a formal announcement of Richard Sills as The Children's Party candidate for President will be made.
Sills, a Scientist, Educator and Humorist, also ran in 1980 and 1984 as this party's write-in choice. The main features of the party are children's suffrage and "children teaching children."
Richard Sills' campaign platform is entitled "A Six Point Program For a More Evolved Planet." It promotes, as the first point, a United World Government with a world Constitution, and as the second point, absolute total disarmament. The third point is a moratorium on violence in the media, where print and broadcast groups would educate the public in non-violent, positive behavior. Says Sills, "This would create a more positive and healthy emotional climate through which individuals could develop new ideas of peaceful interaction throughout the world."
Point four is the presenting of advanced information to children in a way they could understand and enjoy learning, and point five promotes using children as teachers. Lastly, for point six, Richard Sills proposes the development of anti-addictive drugs and an anti-drug society.
At the Press Conference Mr. Sills will elaborate on his campaign platform and take questions from the audience.
