China General Chamber of Commerce - USA Hosts Annual Automotive Summit in Detroit, Michigan

DETROIT, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The China General Chamber of Commerce – USA held its annual Automotive Summit in Detroit today with many special guests from the U.S. and China. Leading the meeting was Mr. Yi Lu, President – SAIC USA, Inc. and current Chairman of the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA Automotive Committee who introduced the theme of the summit:  Innovate to Thrive – How Chinese Companies Can Succeed in the U.S.

The summit meeting was held to allow members and guests of the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA (CGCC) an opportunity to discuss important topics related to how Chinese – based companies can be successful in doing business in the United States, with a focus on companies involved in the automotive sector.

Special guests at the meeting included Mr. Zhao Weiping, Consul General – People's Republic of China, Chicago and Mr. Richard Huang, Secretary General of the CGCC. Also attending were representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Speakers included David Wang, President – YanFeng USA and Wayne Xing from China Business Update.  Panel discussions included topics ranging from Supply Chain Management to Mergers and Acquisitions with representatives from Deloitte, Foley, Wayne State University, JunHe Law Offices and Business Development Asia, all experienced in working with Chinese companies doing business in the U.S.

Attendees included a number of automotive suppliers and partners, including firms such as Fawer USA, China Automotive, Inc., SG Technology, Inc., Fuyao Automotive N.A. and many others.
