(NASDAQ: CHNR), a company based in the People's Republic of China, today disclosed a delay in the filing of its annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2016 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The delay occurred because an audit of the Company's recently acquired Bolivian subsidiary has not yet been completed. The Company acquired its Bolivian subsidiary on December 23, 2016. The Company currently anticipates that the audit of its Bolivian subsidiary will be completed on or before June 19, 2017; and that the annual report on Form 20-F will be filed with the SEC on or before June 30, 2017. However, unforeseen delays or events could further delay completion of the audit and filing of the annual report.
