SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Incheon Airport (President & CEO Chae-Wook Lee) presents a variety of cultural performances throughout the year and for this year's wintry season will be a special series of performances with the theme of "Culture Touch the Sky". The performances will make you feel the warmth and joy of the Yuletide spirit.
To help families and lovers bond with warm affection during this wintry season, the programs will be filled with moving and enchanting musicals, chansons and carols delivering the Christmas spirit. This is part of Incheon Airport's continuing "year-round culture and art sharing campaign" of various cultural events and artistic performances that started in July of last year. Specially invited to attend this warm and inviting event are the children and staff of the Boramae Child Center, which the Incheon Airport supports on a continuous basis.
This year's regular winter performance will be held in the Millennium Hall located in the middle of the first floor of the passenger terminal between 4:00pm and 5:00pm from December 21st through the 25th (Christmas day). The event will open with outstanding vocalist Hae-Seon Bae and musical star Joon-Mo Yang performing several numbers along with the hit performance group Musical Times in which they will perform various group dances and songs. The two locally acclaimed musical groups will perform a variety of Yuletide songs together with the multinational children's chorus Areum Deuri and the Mostly Philharmonic Orchestra.
The second day, December 22, world-class baritone Dong-Gyu Kim and soprano Ji-Eun Lee will perform together. Audiences will surely enjoy their live renditions of popular genres including pop, jazz and opera. On December 23, a special French-style chanson concert is prepared that will be accompanied by a commentary. Baritone and chanson vocalist Han-Seung Goh and Ida Daussy, famous for her witty remarks, invite us to the enchanting world of French chansons. Then on December 24, Christmas Eve, soprano Won-Jeong Kim, who played the leading role in the "Last Empress," and Uangelvoice, a classical chorus of pin-up boys, will sing classic carols together with their captivating voices. On December 25, Christmas day, a heavenly voice and beautiful piano melody will be featured under the theme of "Concert of Hope". Tenor Hyeon-Jae Park, baritone Joo-Ho Woo, and the four-fingered pianist Hee-Ah Lee will gather together to present a warm and cheerful Christmas afternoon that will wrap up the program.
