ST PAUL, Minn., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Two-year college students are invited to apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the CHS Foundation, the major giving entity of CHS Inc., an energy, grains and food Fortune 200 company.
The CHS Foundation will award 25 $1,000 two-year college scholarships to first-year agricultural students attending a two-year college.
"As the agricultural industry continues to grow, it's vitally important that we continue to build the next generation of leaders in production, science, technology and business agriculture," says William Nelson, president, CHS Foundation. "We're proud to offer these scholarships which help plant seeds for a strong future in agriculture."
The scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2010. An independent, external committee will select scholarship recipients based on essays, transcripts and reference letters.
