NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CIFC Corp. (NASDAQ: CIFC) ("CIFC" or the "Company") announced today that R. Spencer Potts joins as Head of Business Development.
Mr. Potts has over 20 years of experience in capital markets, business development and portfolio management. Prior to joining CIFC, he spent eight years as Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Silver Creek Capital LLC, dedicated to the marketing of institutional investment portfolios centered around alternative assets including hedge funds, private equity and real estate. Prior to Silver Creek, he was a Director in Merrill Lynch's Hedge Fund Origination Group, sourcing and marketing institutional hedge fund portfolios. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he was a portfolio manager with Pinnacle Asset Management, a New York-based fund-of-hedge-funds group. Mr. Potts holds a B.A. in History from the University of New Hampshire. He is Capital Chair for New York City's largest poverty frontline center, The River Fund New York, and is an active board member for Plyfe, an emerging advertising technology company, and the University of New Hampshire Foundation.
