CIGNA Teams with MD On-Line to Grow Electronic Claims Submissions

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MD On-Line, Inc., a leader in enabling interoperable EDI transactions between health care payers and health care professionals, today announced that it has teamed with leading health service company CIGNA to help its health care professionals convert from paper to electronic claims submission.

As part of this effort, MD On-Line has launched a co-branded web portal (www.cignamdol.com) to allow health care professionals to submit their claims transactions electronically at no additional cost, and will actively market its offering to those currently submit claims on paper.  CIGNA joins the more than 30 other carriers who also have teamed with MD On-Line for this initiative. 

Under this new arrangement, health care professionals that currently submit 100% of their claims to CIGNA on paper may be eligible for special offers and discounts that may allow them to qualify for free services if they convert to electronic claims submission.
