Cimarex Announces Offering of Senior Unsecured Notes

DENVER, May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cimarex Energy Co. (NYSE: XEC) ("Cimarex") today announced that it intends, subject to market conditions, to publicly offer $600 million aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes due 2024 in a registered underwritten offering. 

Net proceeds from the offering will be used to repay in full amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes.  

Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc. will act as joint book-running managers for the offering.
