Recording Artist Abraham McDonald From Season 4 Of "The Voice" To Perform "I Believe"
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Back by popular demand, The International Fashion Film Awards is excited to announce their return to the Saban Theatre on October 25, 2015 to celebrate the winners from worldwide fashion film festivals. This global high fashion gala will recognize the best fashion shorts this past year and the talent who created and starred in them, and the Best Fashion Feature Films. Nominees include "Carol," starring Cate Blanchett, Albert Maysles' "Iris," Ken Loach's "Jimmy's Hall," Bertrand Bonello's "Saint Laurent" and "Woman in Gold" starring the legendary Helen Mirren.
Hosted by Television personality, Cheryl Burke and former star of E!'s Fashion Police, George Kotsiopoulous, this incredible evening of international glamour will honor the world's greatest fashion films and icons. Celebrity presenters include Ian Bohen, Carmen Electra, Penelope Mitchell, Radha Mitchell, Beverly Todd, Alessandra Torresani and the stylish star of E!'s hit show "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills," Dorothy Wang. Among fashion icons attending, celebrity stylist and the creative visionary behind Katy Perry and Shakira, and past judge on "America's Next Top Model," Johnny Wujek, who will be presented the "Stylist of the Year" award. The fashion savant will be recognized for his willingness to push fashion boundaries with his consistently "Best Dressed" celebrity clients. There will then also be a Surprise Recipient of the Designer Icon Award.
In addition, The Supremes will be presented the Timeless Icon Award for their legendary fashion through the years.Founding member Mary Wilson will accept the award on behalf of the iconic group and deliver a highly-anticipated performance of some of The Supremes' platinum hits. And X Factor contestant and talented singer Eden XO (Eden Roberts) will take the stage to perform her hit, "Too Cool to Dance."
The event will also honor the 20th Anniversary of the pop culture classic "Clueless" with awards to producer Adam Schroeder and costume designer Mona May. In addition to the global phenomenon that had a huge impact on fashion in the 1990s, Schroeder's talents can also be seen in movies such as Jim Carrey's "The Truman Show" and the 2002 Jackie Chan hit "The Tuxedo." And May designed the whimsical costumes for "Enchanted" and "The Wedding Singer."
The evening will begin with a presentation of a timeless and classic fashion trend that has evolved throughout the years. From the moment guests step onto the red carpet, they'll be greeted by eclectic models and dancers dressed head-to-toe in feathers, to celebrate the adornment that has been used for decades to make a fashion statement.
The show will go on to honor the dearly departed figures of art, fashion and film with a tribute to those lost this year in a performance from Ambrosia of their hit, "Biggest Part of Me."
Then later in the evening "The Voice" winner and singer extraordinaire Abraham McDonald will perform "I Believe" and be joined on stage by a variety of dancers.
The show promises to be one of the world's most glamorous events, marrying the magic of filmmaking and the art of haute couture.
