CIRCA Scientific Awarded Innovative Technology Contract from Vizient, Inc. for its S-CATH™ Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CIRCA Scientific, the leader in advanced esophageal temperature monitoring, announced today that its S-CATH™ Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System has been awarded an Innovative Technology contract by Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The agreement enables Vizient's participating healthcare members to take advantage of enhanced savings on CIRCA Scientific's temperature monitoring products.
Vizient's Innovative Technology contracts are reserved for technologies that demonstrate an ability to enhance clinical care or patient safety, and those that improve an organization's care delivery and business model. This prestigious contract was awarded to CIRCA Scientific based on the recommendation of hospital experts with expertise in this category who serve on one of Vizient's member-led councils.
Accurately monitoring the temperature of the esophagus is an important component of complex cardiac ablation procedures. The company's S-CATH Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System enhances esophageal temperature monitoring with multi-point temperature sensing featuring an array of 12 fast-response temperature sensors on a soft, flexible, self-expanding probe, which conforms to the shape of the esophagus, providing maximum esophageal coverage.
