CONCORD, N.C., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Circle at Concord Mills, a development by Crescent Resources Multifamily Development Group, was named the luxury multifamily project of the year by the National Association of Home Builders at the National Green Building Conference.
The apartment community's clubhouse was the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified structure in Cabarrus County. Surrounded by 30 acres of preserved woods and wetlands, Circle at Concord Mills is also the first multifamily community in the country to be certified by Audubon International as an Audubon Signature Sanctuary.

Circle at Concord Mills is the first multifamily garden community in North Carolina with a LEED-certified facility. A garden community is characterized by substantial open space, landscaped grounds and low-rise buildings.

Circle at Concord Mills – the first smoke-free community in the Charlotte area – features ENERGY STAR appliances, built-in recycling bins, compact fluorescent light fixtures, low-energy windows and paints with low volatile organic compounds. The clubhouse also features native landscaping, water-efficient plumbing and recycled building materials.

The architect of the 312-unit project was The Preston Partnership, LLC, the civil engineer was Kimley Horn, and Crosland was the general contractor.
