CISIS 2010 Receives Awards for 'Top Ten China Information Industry Economic Events' and 'Best Creative Service Platform'
DALIAN, China, Dec. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Recently, the China International Software and Information Service Fair 2010 was awarded as one of the "Top Ten China Information Industry Economic Events in 2010"and the "Best Creative Service Platform in 2010." Other elected events were "3 Nets Convergence Substantive Start," "Tablet PC and Smart Phone Became the New Favorites of Investment" and "China Internet of Things Standard System will be Constructed," etc.
The judges' decisions were based on CISIS 2010's comprehensive overview and construction achievements regarding China's software and information service industry through the exhibition, conferences and forums, and for its aggressive promotion of the cooperation and communication between domestic and overseas players. After the international financial crisis, a green growth became the important way of leading new economic recovery in the world. CISIS 2010 demonstrated the traditional industry's ability to conserve energy, cut emissions, build core competition and make green growth a reality.
The theme of CISIS 2010 was Green Growth Powered by Software. The fair was successfully held and earned lots of accomplishments.
A Record Breaking CISIS
The exhibition area covered 35,000 square meters, with the IT exhibition covering 22,000 square meters and the job hunting fair exhibition 4,000 square meters, making it 25% larger than the last year. Over 50 famous multinational corporations joined in the CISIS. These included Intel, SAP, IBM, CISCO, McKinsey, Oracle, Accenture, Genpact, NIIT, Fidelity Funds, CITI, DELL, SUMITOMO ELECTRIC, NTT, NEC, HITACHI, Sompo Japan Insurance, Softbank, Avaya, BT, ALPINE and Panasonic. Over 20 countries and regions were represented at CISIS -- 25% more than that of last year. Those audiences from the U.S., France, Norway, Belgium, Australia, Singapore, Russia, Argentina, Philippines, Malaysia, Egypt, Israel, North Korea and Pakistan, attended the meetings. The executives of IBM, Cisco, McKinsey, HP, Microsoft, Amazon, Cummins, Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Toyota Tsusho Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers International Ltd. and Ricoh Software Research Center attended the conferences and forums.
Domestic and Overseas IT Elites Gathered in CISIS

More than 60 domestic provincial and municipal pavilions, more than 20 governors and mayors, more than 100 directors and nearly 1,000 government representatives attended the conference, along with nearly 100 leaders from over 30 education organizations which focus on software research.

Some 30,000 visitors also attended CISIS2010.

More than 50 conferences and meetings and nearly 80 sessions were held during the exhibition. Lots of seminars and project matching meetings constructed the platform of communication and cooperation between governments and corporations. CISIS organized a series of industry application seminars, the topics covered more than 30 fields, including Media and Internet, Agriculture, Aviation, Retail, Hotel, Biology Pharmacy, Production, Heating, SMEs, and also included cloud computing, internet of things, embedded software, open source software, e-commerce and software marketing channels, etc. CISIS also focused on the development trend of information services and software industry, so the Policy and Trend Release Conference was held. The officials from the Commerce of Ministry and the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, McKinsey and other world famous consultants released their profound reports and analysis.
