Citadel Outlets 2014 Holiday Festivities Include Record-Breaking Decor and Famous Annual Tree Lighting Concert

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season, Citadel Outlets - located conveniently off Interstate 5 Freeway just 20 minutes south of downtown Los Angeles - will transform into a global holiday landmark with record-breaking decor and events. The popular center will take holiday cheer to a whole new level with the World's Largest Bow, World's Tallest Live Cut Christmas Tree and 13^th Annual Tree Lighting Concert.

The World's Tallest Live Cut Christmas Tree
The Citadel Outlets' natural-cut Christmas tree is an impressive 115 feet tall and is sourced from the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. It spans 20 feet longer than an NBA basketball court and stands at twice the size of the famous Hollywood Sign. In addition, the Center's Christmas tree is 40-feet taller than the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City.

The World's Largest Bow
Celebrations will begin with the lighting of the Largest Bow in the World during the first week of November. On display through the holiday season, the giant red bow - produced by American Christmas Inc. - will be 36 feet wide by 21 feet tall and will sit directly on top of the iconic Citadel Wall, facing the Interstate 5 Freeway. The bow will feature 18 loops that are 10-12 feet tall and two 75-feet long tails that will drape down the front of the building. Over 4,000 cans of paint and primer were used in its construction and the bow is topped with one half-ton of glitter. 

13^th Annual Tree Lighting Concert
On November 8, over 20,000 attendees will flock to the Citadel Outlets for the 13^th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and free outdoor concert. Previous headline performers include Jesse McCartney (2013), Ariana Grande (2012), Big Time Rush (2010), Justin Bieber (2009), Ashley Tisdale (2009), and Demi Lovato (2008), and many more.
