Citrus Valley Luxury RV Park Looks to Repeat Record Sales in 2016

CLERMONT, Fla., March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- With 365,000 RVs manufactured last year in the US coupled with a declining supply of acceptable resort-style parks capable of handling the demands of larger and newer RVs, and the growing trend of travelers gravitating towards Outdoor Hospitality as a mainstream vacation product, Elite Resorts' Citrus Valley near Orlando ended 2015 with a banner year and is anticipating similar strong sales in 2016.

Elite Resorts, which manages premier RV resorts in Florida and Connecticut, last year, sold a record 80 lots at the 305-lot Citrus Valley park. Since the opening of the community, Elite Resorts' sales have totaled 200.

"We're an established, fully amenitized park, and unlike other more rural and secluded parks and campgrounds Citrus Valley is within proximity to virtually everything, including the Disney World entertainment properties that are just 8 miles away," said Ed Mayer, President of Citrus Valley.

Another sales bonus, according to Mayer, is the area's growth in real estate values and new developments, which, he said, "should have a positive rising tide affect for Citrus Valley purchasers."

"A 300-acre Margaritaville resort was recently announced in western Osceola County, just a few miles away—a good sign for improving real estate values," said Mayer.

A country club-style RV community, Citrus Valley is set in a treed park setting, featuring a full amenity program, including a 6,700-square-foot clubhouse, heated 3,600-square-foot pool, exercise room, free cable TV/Wi Fi, game rooms and outdoor playground and sports for competition. All lots offer 100-amp service to accommodate larger RVs. Citrus Valley is also near some of the best golf courses in Central Florida.

Prices at Citrus Valley range from $44,900 to $80,000.

According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association a record 9 million households now own an RV. Since 2001, this represents a 16% increase, with the largest gains in the 35-to-54 age group.
