BELLINGHAM, Wash., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The City of Bellingham recently announced that it has partnered with parking management software leader NuPark to deliver a comprehensive host of solutions for the City's parking operations including permitting, citations and license plate recognition-based enforcement. The decision to implement NuPark's integrated platform supports the City's initiative to provide better parking efficiency and convenience for residents and visitors.

NuPark's software offers the City a centralized administrative management platform using LPR technology to evolve their parking enforcement from a manual to automated system. The automated enforcement also gives Bellingham the ability to move away from coin-op meters to credit card based payments by integrating with the City's mobile payment provider PayByPhone Technologies Inc.
