Classic Television Network Me-TV Launches Today in the Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO, April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Launching today, Me-TV Bay Area will serve the entire Bay Area and will become the only primary Bay Area television station offering classic programming.  Me-TV Bay Area will air on Xfinity/Comcast cable channel 31, DISH and DIRECTV channel 50, Horizon Cable channel 10, Mediacom Cable channel 10 and over-the-air.

According to John Burgess, Vice President and General Manager of Me-TV Bay Area, "Me-TV Bay Area will be the only station in our market to find memorable moments from classic TV such as the infamous 'walnuts' episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show or the hilarious sarcasm of Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show."  In fact, over 60 shows will air including Streets of San Francisco, M*A*S*H, Perry Mason, Hawaii Five-O, I Love Lucy, The Bob Newhart Show and The Big Valley.

Along with classic programming, Me-TV Bay Area will continue to show select local programs, specific to the Bay Area.  The Food Show: Hosted by Clark Wolf will air weekly on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:00pm.  Clark meets with Bay Area food producers, farmers, chefs and cookbook authors to provide Me-TV Bay Area viewers an inside look into how food brings people together as a welcome part of Bay Area culture.  Me-TV Bay Area will also air memorable talk show host Joe Getty and Jack Armstrong each weekday morning.  Armstrong & Getty are known for their provocative and humorous take on the life here in the Bay Area.
