Clean Wind Energy Tower, Inc. Settles Lawsuit with Former Employees

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Clean Wind Energy Tower, Inc. (OTCBB: CWET), (the "Company") announced today that the lawsuit filed by Clean Wind Energy Tower, Inc. in regard to a dispute with three former employees was settled. The resolution came as a result of discussions wherein the parties agreed to the assignment of certain patents as well as other considerations under the terms of a structured agreement.

Ronald W. Pickett, Chairman and CEO, stated, "We are happy that this matter has been resolved, and that we have retained the patents as well as the patent applications that we feel are instrumental to the core development of our project. As we move forward from this point, we have in hand additional developments that we think should demand patent protection, and we intend to continue to refine our technology and are certain to file additional patent applications to protect the intellectual property that will be generated from our progress.
