Clearpoint Agency Supports Local Lagoon Conservancies, Sees Contributing to Clean Environment Good for Business

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Clearpoint Agency, Inc., an award-winning public relations and marketing communications firm based in Encinitas, California, supports wetland preservation by volunteering for the Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation Kayak Cleanup Day annually and by contributing to the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy's 25th anniversary gala.

The Batiquitos Lagoon, located in Carlsbad, California, is one of the few remaining tidal wetlands on the southern California coast. Boats are allowed on the lagoon one weekend in September each year, when volunteers can kayak in the lagoon and clean up trash. Ten volunteers from the agency participated – kayaking on the lagoon for two hours and collecting harmful trash – and Clearpoint donated $450 to the Batiquitos Foundation.

Clearpoint has made the Kayak Cleanup Day an annual company event since 2008. The company pays the entrance donation for all team members who wish to participate, as well as their spouses, and treats volunteers to lunch afterwards.

Clearpoint also "adopted" another protected waterway this year, the San Elijo Lagoon in Encinitas, California. When the PR agency expanded its offices and relocated to Encinitas, it hosted an open house party for its clients. The San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy was the beneficiary. Clearpoint guests heard a short presentation about the conservancy's work when the live band took a break, and Clearpoint made a financial donation benefiting the Conservancy's Environmental Education Program.

Clearpoint also donated PR services to the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy, which celebrated its 25th anniversary with the "Birds of a Feather" fundraising gala in September.
