Clearpoint Agency Vice President Honored with Otto Bos Lifetime Achievement Award and PR Firm Earns Four Bernays Awards from PRSA, San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Clearpoint Agency, Inc., a public relations and marketing communications firm, received five awards at last week's San Diego Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Edward L. Bernays Awards. The 10-year-old agency continues its long tradition of winning an award every year for which it has entered. The sold-out award ceremony took place on September 27^th at Rancho Bernardo Inn, where San Diego's most prominent PR professionals gathered to honor exemplary PR professionals, campaigns and tactics.

Clearpoint Vice President Beth Walsh received the Otto Bos Lifetime Achievement award for her distinguished career in PR and marketing communications.  Walsh has directed the communications efforts of numerous start-ups and large businesses, led two successful agencies, and mentored many young PR professionals throughout her career, including several PR pros who have gone on to develop their own companies and successful careers. She also regularly contributes to the PR body of knowledge through teaching and speaking events. In her acceptance speech, Walsh attributed her success to her patient husband, wonderful clients, and staff at Clearpoint, especially her business partner, Clearpoint President Bonnie Shaw.

The Silver Award of Excellence for integrated communications was presented to Clearpoint and its graphic design partner, Diseno Communications, for combined public relations, messaging, advertising, and graphic design work developing rebranding and website redesign for Synteract, Inc., an international contract research organization in the pharma and biotech industry.  

The PR agency also was recognized in the Bronze category three times. The agency won two awards for its work with Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of pool and spa products – the first an award in the social media category for its social media campaigns and sweepstakes, and the second for featured articles. The agency also received an award for research/evaluation for client 5D Robotics, Inc., a robotics software company.
