Through this partnership, users and storage administrators will be able to easily transfer, access and preserve valuable archive assets over standard NAS (Network-Attached Storage) file protocols for limitless scalability and with no system disruption. QStar will provide customers with a Common Internet File System (CIFS) or Network File System (NFS) gateway as part of its Archive Manager solution to install into existing data centers. This gateway allows traditional file-based applications to access Cleversafe's dispersed object-based storage system without additional changes to the applications.  As a result, customers will be able to easily ingest data, actively access it and preserve information for the future with the benefit of limitless scalability.
