LONDON and TUNBRIDGE WELLS, England, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Lee was suffering with PTSD on a daily basis, experiencing recurring nightmares and not being able to switch off from the abuse he suffered as a young child. Carrying around this intense emotion, distress and shame meant that he was re-living the trauma of being abused for over 40 years.
In October 2013, after going through years of counselling and psychotherapy which made the distress worse, Lee's partner, Jayne, searched online for further help and found Chris Meaden with clinics in Tunbridge Wells and Harley Street. Jayne read that Chris and his wife Linzi, who are 'Personal Change Specialists', help clients to transform their lives using their developed mind technology called 'Neuro-Hypnotic Havening', which includes a technique that Jayne hadn't heard of before………The Havening Techniques™. Intrigued and somewhat sceptical about the claims that this revolutionary method, also referred to as 'Havening' (created by US Neuroscientist Dr Ronald Ruden), could permanently remove his ongoing distress, Lee was willing to try anything and booked an appointment with Chris, but only after much persuasion by Jayne who naturally wanted to get him the help he needed.
Chris*, together with his wife Linzi Meaden*, are leading mind coaches in the South East and attract clients from all around the world to learn how to let go of past traumas, limiting beliefs, phobias, anxieties and distressing memories. They teach their clients how to clear the past, master their own thoughts and behaviours with more flexibility and make better choices to gain personal freedom.
Havening helps individuals overcome problems and symptoms that are a consequence of traumatic encodings, including abuse, rape, fear, abandonment, grief, phobias, panic attacks, stress, anxiety, emotional eating, compulsions, heartbreak or distressing memories. Chris and Linzi are currently part of a small group of qualified 'Havening Techniques Practitioners' in the UK and have combined their skills, knowledge and experience to create 'Neuro-Hypnotic Havening' which is a thorough personal change process to clear the past and coach the client to transform themselves to live their lives better, and, be the best they can be.
Dr Ronald Ruden, creator of The Havening Techniques™ explains:
"When an event or experience is perceived as traumatic, inescapable or very stressful, it becomes immutably encoded, often with life-altering consequences. However, recent research from the field of Neuroscience has shown us how it's possible to modify this encoding. The Havening Techniques™ are methods which are designed to change the brain to de-traumatize the memory and permanently remove its negative effects from both our psyche and body."
Lee was understandably a little nervous before his session with Chris and was put at ease straight away with the pleasant surprise that he wouldn't have to go into great detail about what he had suffered as a child, which is something he had to do repeatedly with counselling. Just 90 minutes later, and with the entire session observed by Jayne, Lee was a changed man for the better. He had finally been able to let go of the past and not only did he look different, he felt a weight had been lifted off his shoulders and couldn't stop smiling. It was almost disbelief of what had just happened! In his own words, Lee said after the session "I feel like I've won the lottery".

Now, 8 months later and for the first time as an adult finally being able to enjoy Christmas Day, Lee is still referring family and friends to see Chris and Linzi at their clinic in Tunbridge Wells and he is still living free from the daily emotional pain he suffered for so many years, thanks to Chris' unique approach to helping individuals with 'Neuro-Hypnotic Havening'. There has only been a couple of occasions since when something triggered a negative emotion for Lee and by using 'self-havening', the distress was quickly diminished. Both Lee and Jayne now use 'self-havening' as a personal resource to avoid encoding any further traumas and for their ongoing wellbeing, both individually and as a couple.
Paul McKenna PhD who has helped change the lives of millions says:
"Havening is going to change the face of therapy across the world. What used to take months to cure can now be done in minutes in most cases; PTSD, trauma, pain, depression and many more disorders. The initial study completed by King's College London shows the remarkable effectiveness of this extraordinary set of processes. This is not to be confused with other psychosensory techniques, TFT, EMDR etc….whilst they are good, Havening is light years ahead."
Chris and Linzi are privileged to have learnt direct from Dr Ronald Ruden, creator of The Havening Techniques™, and based on their many case studies where individual lives have been changed for the better, they were asked by Dr Steven Ruden (Director of Education for The Havening Techniques) to facilitate at the UK's 2nd training event in London this year, making them worldwide Ambassadors for this ground-breaking Psychosensory therapy. In addition, Chris and Linzi will also be facilitating at the next training event in New York City on 25/26 October 2014 which is open to anyone in the medical profession, field of alternative therapy or any occupation that involves helping others with personal change.
Chris and Linzi are offering the opportunity for 2 individuals who have experienced a significant trauma in their lives that they haven't been able to emotionally let go of, to be part of a case study group. This will involve the session(s) being recorded and used for media and training purposes and will require future feedback and video testimonials.
