CLIF Builder's® To Sponsor Reebok Spartan Race As "Official Protein Bar" Of U.S. Race Series Through 2016

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Clif Bar & Company, a leading maker of nutritious and organic foods and drinks for people on-the-go, and Spartan Race, Inc., the world's leading obstacle racing company, in partnership with NBC Sports Ventures, announced today that CLIF Builder's® will be the Official Protein Bar of the U.S. Reebok Spartan Race and Spartan Race coverage on NBC and NBCSN through 2016.

As part of the multi-year partnership, Spartan athletes and spectators will have ample opportunity to sample and interact with the CLIF® brand. CLIF Builder's high-protein bars will serve as post-workout recovery nutrition at Spartan Race finish lines and in festival areas, and will also be available at a number of Spartan Race Workout Tour events throughout 2015 and 2016. In addition, CLIF Builder's will be featured as the "Official Protein Bar" of Spartan Race's popular NBCSN series, and integrated into branded obstacles and festival challenges at races across the country.

CLIF® Bar is also providing CLIF SHOT BLOKS® energy chews to Spartan Super and Beast Race participants as on-course performance nutrition, and Clif Bar & Company's CLIF Kid Zbar®, an organic, soft-baked whole grain energy snack for kids, will be available for children participating in the Spartan Kids Races.
