"Fight for Air Climb" Offers Unique Challenge
DES MOINES, Iowa, March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Three times the challenge and three times the fun is set for Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the annual "Fight for Air Climb" to raise funds and awareness for the American Lung Association in Iowa. For the first time ever, competitors will climb THREE buildings in downtown Des Moines - EMC Insurance Companies, HubTower and the Des Moines Marriott Downtown.
The annual event attracts over 1,000 climbers in multiple categories – individual, team, Kids Climb, Firefighter Challenge and Law Enforcement Challenge, plus hundreds more to cheer on their family and friends. Participants can challenge themselves to climb 1, 2 or 3 buildings! If a climber does all three buildings, it is 66 floors! (That's over 20 stories taller than any one building in Iowa.)
Registration is open until midnight, Sunday, March 20 and costs just $25. Then each participant is required to raise a minimum of $100 ($50 for the kids) to benefit the Lung Association. Climbers coming to Des Moines for the event can receive a discount on their stay at the Des Moines Marriot Downtown.
