CMMI Assessment for Avineon, Inc.'s Indian Subsidiary

MCLEAN, Va., May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, today announced that its Indian subsidiary has successfully been appraised at CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) CMMI-DEV v1.3 (Staged):Maturity Level 3 rating based on the results of a SCAMPI Class A appraisal. The appraisal team was led by SCAMPI Lead Appraiser for Development, who has been authorized to perform SCAMPI Appraisals by the CMMI Institute and Software Engineering Institute (SEI).

The CMMI is an industry standard for assessing and improving software processes that result in higher quality and lower development time and costs. The key process areas at Level 3 address the organization and infrastructure that institutionalize effective software engineering and management processes across all projects.
