
CMT Premiere Opens - Broadway Talent Choreographs
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Nationally acclaimed performing arts organization Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT) announced today Broadway talent and CMT alumnus Dennis O'Bannion will choreograph the CMT premiere of Legally Blonde: The Musical, running March 2-11.
Mr. O'Bannion joined dozens of past CMT alumni in the ranks of Broadway performer in 2009. "There was so much education I learned in my years at CMT, that it created a solid foundation and prepared me to train and perform in the Big Apple," says O'Bannion, as he still credits San Jose roots for NYC success. Choreography taught by O'Bannion will be featured onstage at downtown San Jose's historic Montgomery Theater, bringing a little of the Great White Way to the South Bay. "CMT's Legally Blonde is full of awesome songs, high energy dances, hilarious moments and even some jump-roping to make this a great showcase for the talented performers. It will be the show you won't want to miss," O'Bannion says.
CMT artistic director Kevin Hauge expresses excitement to share in the creative process of this production with O'Bannion.
