CO Citizens Hold Open Town Hall, Extend Invitation to Senator Cory Gardner
Together We Will Colorado, other community organizations ask #wherescory as thousands of residents' meeting requests go unanswered
DENVER, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
What: |
During Congressional Recess this week, most elected officials are holding Town Halls with their constituents. Senator Gardner has not planned such a meeting, so his constituents have planned their own and invited him. If he chooses not to attend, they will ask questions of a stand-in -- a cardboard Cory -- to feel like their voices are heard. Senator Gardner recently generated controversy when he called some of his most vocal constituents "paid protestors." Constituents have been organizing the Town Hall and using the hashtag #wherescory and #willcoryshow. |
