
Co-founder of Netflix Delivers Keynote at the 6th Annual Southeast Venture Conference
Conference will bring hundreds of venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to Northern Virginia, February 29th- March 1st
MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 26, 2012 Hundreds of venture capitalists, angel investors, private equity firms, entrepreneurs and technology executives from some of the region's most innovative companies will converge at the 6th Annual Southeast Venture Conference (SEVC), Feb. 29-March 1, at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Marc Randolph, co-founder and former CEO of Netflix, is set to share his entrepreneurial experiences with attendees at lunch on day two of the conference.
Randolph launched Netflix in 1997 along with co-founder and current CEO, Reed Hastings, creating one of the Internet's most iconic brands in the process while revolutionizing the home movie entertainment industry.
Prior to founding Netflix, Randolph was on the founding team of more than half a dozen other successful start-ups in the e-commerce, media, enterprise software and portable device markets -- all of which went on to IPOs or other successful liquidity events. He is currently an active Silicon Valley investor and executive mentor for a number of tech startups.
Marc joins a speaker line up at the 2012 Southeast Venture Conference that includes dozens of top venture capital investors, industry analysts and other successful technology entrepreneurs such as OpenTable founder, Chuck Templeton.
In addition to speakers discussing a variety of venture capital and entrepreneurial oriented topics, the conference will showcase over 60 of the most promising innovative technology firms from the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions -- representing Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, DC and West Virginia.

The conference, which is expected to sell out for the 6th straight year, opens on the afternoon of February 29th with investor and entrepreneur oriented panel discussions, showcase company presentations, keynote talks, an extended networking reception and a late night after party. Day two kicks off with a power networking breakfast, followed by additional panels and featured speakers, lunch with Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, company presentations and a final closing networking reception.
