CHARDON, Ohio, March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, The Coach Hall Foundation will be presenting at the National School Board Association's National Conference, taking place in Boston, April 9-11, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
Andy Fetchik, Vice President, and Tim Armelli, President, along with Founder Coach Frank Hall, will be speaking on the topic of school safety on Sunday, April 10 at 8:30 am. Each one of these individuals was at Chardon High School on February 27, 2012 when a shooting there took the lives of three students, paralyzing another, and injuring two more, forever changing the lives of the students, teachers and administrators, and the community.
In today's world, with the growing number of school shooting and violence, it is the foundation's belief that a School Resource Officer (SRO) can greatly impact the safety level and it is their mission to have a SRO in every school.
"We need to find ways to secure our schools better. We need to make a stand right now that our schools need to be the most important thing we have in this country, not Wall Street, not Capitol Hill, our schools. We need to determine that in our minds and heart, our schools and our children need to be the most important thing we have. That's the bottom line," said Frank Hall.
