Code Ninjas Franchise Coming to Charlotte to Teach Kids How to Code

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As parents strive to prepare children for a technology-driven world, Code Ninjas, a new franchise that teaches computer coding to kids ages 7-14, announced plans to open three learning centers in Charlotte, and one in Chapel Hill. The first center is expected to open for the fall school year.

"Charlotte is a great city for tech," said David Graham, founder and CEO of Houston-based Code Ninjas. "We want to ensure the next generation of Charlotte kids are gaining these critical skills – and having loads of fun in the process."

When Charlotte residents Anjali and Vivek Dighe looked for programs for their technology-loving son, they came up empty. That search eventually lead them to buy Code Ninjas three franchise territories in Charlotte, and one in Chapel Hill.

The Code Ninjas centers will be open to students on weekdays, weekday evenings, and Saturdays. In addition, the centers will offer "Parent's Night Out" weekend events, and eventually, Summer Coding Camps.

Local Business Owners Fill an Unmet Need
After moving from Washington, D.C. to Charlotte, Anjali and Vivek Dighe searched for programs for their technology-loving son, but came up empty. That search eventually led them to purchasing the franchise rights to open Code Ninjas centers in Charlotte and Chapel Hill.

"We were looking for a new venture; one that matched our interests, benefitted our community, and filled an unmet need," said Vivek Dighe. "As Charlotte parents ourselves, we know there's a great need for what Code Ninjas offers."
