NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cohen & Gresser is pleased to announce the opening of its office in Paris, France - the firm's first office in Europe and its second office outside the United States. The firm plans to use the new office to serve its existing European clients and grow its practice in France and elsewhere in Europe, particularly in the areas of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, international litigation and arbitration, and employment and labor law.
The Paris office will be led by partner Johannes Jonas, who joins the firm from Dentons (formerly Salans) in Paris. Mr. Jonas has over twenty-five years of experience managing sophisticated transactions for European and North American clients. His practice focuses on cross-border transactions and investments, mergers and acquisitions, and employment and labor law. Licensed to practice law in France, Germany, and New York, Mr. Jonas maintains a large base of international clients, including German nationals doing business in France as well as a range of foreign clients who invest in Germany.
