College Choice Releases First Annual Ranking of Most Affordable Online Graduate Schools for Master's Degrees: Unique Online College Rankings Reveal Total Cost of Online Master's Degree Programs
RALEIGH, N.C., March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- College Choice (http://www.collegechoice.net) has published its first annual ranking of most affordable online graduate schools for master's degrees. The ranking can be viewed at http://www.collegechoice.net/rankings/most-affordable-online-graduate-schools-for-masters-degrees/
Lead editor for the ranking, Katie Amondson says, "It is important to know which accredited online graduate programs are the most affordable when you are weighing were to attend school and working within a budget. This list is a definitive guide to the total costs for the top fifty most affordable online master's programs."
All regionally accredited online schools with at least five online master's programs were considered for the ranking. Qualifying schools were then ranked based on the total cost to complete a master's degree online, including both tuition and fees. Often determining the actual costs of an online education can be a challenge, as many schools incorporate fees not directly tied to tuition. These fees come in a wide range of types and amounts and when added to the overall cost of attendance, can often total in thousands of dollars. Knowing what these fees are and how they impact the total cost to complete an online master's degree helps potential students make more fully informed decisions.
"With our ranking of most affordable colleges for master's programs, we have aimed to cut through some of the fog involved in determining the true costs of an online education," said Jeremy Alder, Managing Editor of College Choice.
Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas tops the list, followed by Amberton University, Garland, Texas and Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas.
