Collegiate Housing Services Expands Partnership with UTI Foundation

Housing assistance fund now reaches all 11 Universal Technical Institute campuses

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Collegiate Housing Services has expanded its partnership with the Universal Technical Institute Foundation. Now, students at any UTI campus may receive housing assistance should they need it. 

The nationwide grant program provides funding for students in need of support, and serves as a valuable life line for students who face the tough choice of paying an unexpected bill or staying enrolled in school.  It began at the Mooresville campus in North Carolina in 2011.

"We truly value this partnership with Collegiate Housing Services," Veronica Meury, vice president and executive director of the UTI Foundation, said. "It serves as a safety net for students who find themselves struggling with a financial emergency."

Collegiate Housing Services provides both seed money and a monthly contribution for each UTI campus based on student housing participation levels in each market. Universal Technical Institute provides a level of matching funds and the UTI Foundation distributes the grants to students in need. In addition to the campus-specific fund, Collegiate Housing Services also contributes to a general fund to be used by the UTI Foundation for housing assistance at any campus.

The Indianapolis-based Collegiate Housing Services has provided housing to for-profit colleges since 1988. The UTI Foundation provides scholarships and support to deserving students attending Universal Technical Institute.
