Colorado Federal Savings Bank announces three year financial commitment to support Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver's life changing affordable housing homeownership programs in Denver
DENVER, May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorado Federal Savings Bank ("Colorado Federal") on April 29, 2015 announced its three-year partnership and financial commitment to support Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver ("Habitat Metro-Denver"). The announcement was made by Colorado Federal's President Ethan Elzen at Habit for Humanity's 12th annual Breakfast for Humanity event held at the Infinity Park Event Center. Colorado Federal was the presenting sponsor of the event which hosted over 700 guests and showcased the charitable efforts Habitat undertakes to support affordable housing in the Denver metro area. The Breakfast for Humanity is Habitat Metro-Denver's largest fundraiser of the year. The event host corporate and individual sponsors from across the Denver region.
Colorado Federal has committed to providing $250,000 in financial support per year over the next three years to accelerate Habitat's growth and efforts in the Denver metro area.
In announcing Colorado Federal's financial commitment, Mr. Elzen, commented, "We firmly believe that you cannot expect a community to thrive economically over the long-term without it being committed to ensuring opportunity is available to everyone who wants to pursue it. We support Habitat Metro-Denver as we believe their tangible engagement with families, other community development leaders and the private sector best represents our community lending vision in support of affordable housing. " Mr. Elzen, further added, "We are confident that our three year $750,000 commitment will be utilized well to further the mission Habitat Metro-Denver has pursued over the past 35 years."
