Columbia Books & Information Services Announces Brittany Carter as New President
BETHESDA, Md., July 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Books & Information Services (CBIS) announced today that its board of directors elected Brittany Carter as its new president effective July 31, 2017. Carter will succeed Joel Poznansky, who has led the company for the last decade. Poznansky will remain in his role as CEO and chairman of the board.

During her CBIS career, Carter has progressed through various leadership roles since joining the company in 2006. Carter initially led the marketing and business development teams before being promoted to vice president in 2015. During her time with the company she has played a key role in driving strong year-over-year revenue growth while simultaneously leading new product development, data licensing negotiations, the creation of the company's robust training offerings and most recently the refocusing of the organization's structure. In 2013 she was named the specialized publishing industry's Rising Star by SIPA and continues to advocate for innovation within the publishing industry.
