Campus Management's newly automated Financial Aid processes was a key factor that drove the university's decision to deploy the CampusVue Student solution. The institution was previously outsourcing its FA processing, when the decision was made to bring the administrative processes and packaging in-house. With the new system in place, financial aid administrators at Columbia Southern University will schedule the system to process aid automatically at a designated time, transmit and retrieve information from Department of Education systems, and route any exceptions to staff for resolution without holding up other distributions.
Campus Management will integrate CampusVue Student with the institution's current platform. Together with CampusVue Portal, the software and systems will unite departments and processes, and provide the university's 24,000 online students with a digital gateway to information and student services.
"The main reasons we chose CampusVue Student were the product's ability to automate so many tasks and the fact that it is designed with features for the online and proprietary model," said Ken Styron, chief information officer at Columbia Southern University. "The university was established to meet the demand for alternatives to the traditional university experience. CampusVue Student will streamline our business processes so we can operate more efficiently and provide better service to our students."
"Columbia Southern University serves a global student body, many of whom are members of the US Armed Forces under the Tuition Assistance program," said Sean Ryan, senior vice president at Campus Management. "To these working professionals, access to education is vital for career progression. We are pleased that CSU has chosen Campus Management as a trusted technology partner."
One of the nation's first completely online universities, Columbia Southern University was established to meet the demand for alternatives to the traditional university experience. All degree programs are offered completely online, providing students the flexibility to fit their education around career and family commitments.
