Columbus Preparatory Academy Earns Highest Academic Performance Score In State Of Ohio For Fifth Year In A Row

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Columbus Preparatory Academy (CPA), a K-10 Charter School located in Columbus, OH, ranked No. 1 in the state for academic performance in the recently released state report cards.  Its score of 116.34 is close to double the state average.  On the K-3 literacy assessment, 100% of CPA's students scored proficient, with most students earning an accelerated or advanced score.   CPA's third-grade math and reading scores were exceptionally high, with students scoring a perfect 120 in math and a 115.3 in reading.

This stellar academic performance continues CPA's record of bringing a world-class education to a diverse student body located in an economically disadvantaged Columbus neighborhood.  CPA's Performance Index score has now led the state for five straight years, and CPA is now the only school in Ohio to score an "A" in performance during this stretch.  CPA's academic excellence has earned it more than 20 state and national awards, including National Title I School of the Year, National Blue Ribbon School, and the Ohio Department of Education's School of Honor distinction.
