Command Medical Products Expands Platform with Acquisition of IMATS

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. and WAYNE, Pa., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Command Medical Products ("Command"), a medical device contract manufacturer and an Argosy Healthcare Partners ("AHP") portfolio company, today announced the acquisition of Injection Moulding & Tooling Services S.A. ("IMATS"), a Costa Rica based provider of injection molding and tooling services. The acquisition extends Command's capabilities across the medical device manufacturing value chain and establishes a third manufacturing site for the company in the medical device hub of Costa Rica.

By adding IMATS' expertise in injection molding and tooling, Command now offers a fully integrated suite of services spanning component production through finished device assembly, including tooling design and fabrication, injection molding, tube extrusion, RF welding, clean room assembly, and packaging. The expanded capabilities position Command to support customers more comprehensively in developing and manufacturing its medical device products.

IMATS operates from a 32,000 square foot facility in the Free Trade Zone in Cartago, Costa Rica. The company provides injection molding, pad printing, assembly, and packaging as well as comprehensive injection mold tooling design, manufacturing, and validation services. The facility has significant available capacity, with the ability to more than double its current production volumes.
