Committee For Economic Development Partners With The Campaign To Fix The Debt

Partnership fortifies business community's call on the President and Congress to reach a deal to address the U.S. fiscal cliff before 2013

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Committee for Economic Development (CED), a nonpartisan public policy organization of today's top business executives and university leaders, today announced its partnership with the Campaign to Fix the Debt, a bipartisan effort to educate Members of Congress, thought leaders and citizens across the country about the need to address the nation's fiscal challenges. The partnership comes days after CED  released its statement, "A Call to Restore America's Long-Term Fiscal Health Now, While Fixing the Fiscal Cliff in the Process," urging the President and Congress to act now on all fronts of our nation's lingering budget problems – entitlements, discretionary spending and raising additional revenues.
