Communities In Schools of Wake County Releases the Video "A Nation of One" as a call to action for the nation to invest in the lives of young people

RALEIGH, N.C., May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today Communities In Schools of Wake County released the video "A Nation of One" featuring Sean Ellison, aka "Really Real." The video features a "call to action" for the nation from Sean, a 2009 graduate of Durham Hillside. Sean is also a 2013 graduate of Full Sail University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Business. Sean wrote the lyrics and performed some of the song as the opening act for a live benefit concert by Hall & Oates this past weekend in Raleigh, NC.

"I want to be a trail blazer and stepping stone for the next person," says Sean. "To become number one, you have to learn how to be number two. Every first step ultimately becomes the foundation for the next step. If each of us can be willing to be stepped on in order to elevate someone else we can help demonstrate to my generation how success can be achieved through unity as opposed to individuality."

The Hall & Oates concert was produced by Band Together (www.bandtogethernc.org), a non-profit that raises funds and awareness for non-profits through music. Since 2001, they have raised $3.5 M for non-profits in the Triangle area of North Carolina. This year Communities In Schools of Wake County (www.ciswake.org) paired with Communities In Schools of Durham (www.cisdurham.org) as the beneficiaries of the proceeds produced by the Band Together Campaign. The Campaign is still in full swing and has achieved 65% of its goal of raising $1 M to install Graduation Coaches in Wake County and Durham Public Schools to help students stay in school and achieve in life.

Their goal is to spread the word in order to get 1 million people nationwide to see the video and to like it on Facebook.
